I'liin'onln

The God of the Sea

I'liin'onln killed his father, El'ii'nim, to seize control of all bodies of water, not just the smaller ones.

His followers believe he did so to protect them from El'ii'nim's evil and see him as the rightful heir to the pantheon.

This story is debated worldwide, especially among the Sea People.

  • He is the oldest of Maa'laat'in's children.

  • It is said that during the fight with his father he lost his left eye and now all of the waters from every ocean is trapped inside.

    • If he opens that eye, he will 'cry' until there is no more water.

  • He is the only God that "marries" his priestesses. This means that they are to take no earthly partner while in his faith.

    • Although part of the priestess ceremony is marriage to the God, he does not regularly appear to his followers.

    • He is known to appear often to his Chief and Head Priestess, but these meetings are private.
