Rules and Terms

Please keep in mind the following rules.

While they are listed in general terms,

they are liable to change without notice or warning.

Please read the rules of the species thoroughly

before acquiring one of your own.

You will be agreeing to these rules when you accept ownership of a design whether it be via purchase, trade or gift, etc.

Members are required to be 16+
Don't degrade the experience of others.
- Bullying, Harassment, Begging, Whining, and other forms of ill-behavior will not be tolerated.
- This includes starting drama, causing major issues in the discord, and purposeful attempts to harm or degrade others.
- If you are experiencing issues with another user, start a ticket with the admin team.
If you are blocked, you are banned.
- If you are blocked by Hearteater (Mal) or Banriion (Lex) on Discord or any other site, you are not allowed to partake in the species.
- If you are found to have circumvented this, your Minoans will be voided and you will be put onto the official blacklist.
The Golden Rule.
- Treat others how you would like to be treated. If you are found to be infringing on rule number 4 in a manner that is in line with intolerable behavior, you can find yourself automatically banned. To reiterate: KINDNESS IS A VIRTUE.
You can be banned from aspects of the community.
- This is a warning more than a rule. If you pull out of auctions often, you can be suspended from auctions. If you constantly flake on your gacha spot, you can be suspended from gacha night. If you are found trying to constantly sniff out loopholes, you can be banned from breeding, item purchasing, and more. Accidents happen, Mistakes happen, but habits will be noticed.
You are not allowed to hide your Minoans.
- All Minoans must be able to be located at all times. If you would like to block other users, do so on a case by case basis. Community members with no personal issues must be able to see your Minoan's Toyhou.se page at all times. Watermarking, etc is always allowed. Just like, use common sense here.
Show courtesy to the artists.
- Everything on Minoans is hand drawn, and the artists work full time jobs. Please keep this in mind.
Do not use Minoans or Minoan assets for Blockchain.
- It goes without saying. NFTs are unwelcome here.

Y ou cannot make your own Minoan.
- As it stands currently, we do not allow "Make your Own" and do not plan to in the upcoming future.
- All Minoans must come from recognized sources.
Connections must be Consensual.
- Do not assume connections between Minoans. All personal lore must be discussed between all parties and agreed upon.
Do not create extreme lore-altering characters.
- We love creative freedom, but we also have our own lore for the species that will be released in short events and novellas.
- Do not Godmod, Mary-sue, etc. Have courtesy to others.
Minoans is community-based.
- While not a requirement, we do ask that you refrain from mass-blocking users, participate in the discord, and keep an eye out for events.
All major changes to a Minoan must be authorized.
- If you're redeeming a trait, changing something simple, or anything that falls into the authorized changes category, you must go through the correct avenues to do so.
- Any major changes to a Minoan's design are not allowed without items or approval.
- Changes to the character that do not fall under the design category, such as changing their relationships, outfits, and age, do not need approval.
You do not own Minoans that are not yours.
- Do not force connections, force owners, or include Minoans that do not belong to you in art without explicit consent from the owner.
Blacklisting leads to voiding.
- If you are banned and blacklisted, your Minoans may end up voided. Voided Minoans are unable to rejoin Minoa unless they are revalidated by an Admin.

Sold Minoans no longer belong to you.
- You cannot force someone to adhere to the lore you had on the character prior. If you do not want the character to be changed by someone else, do not sell it.
Do not sell a Minoan for more than their total worth
- The value of a minoan is : Initial cost + any additional art. If you are unsure of the value, contact staff. All ownership changes must be recorded to the staff and notated appropriately in toyhou.se transfer history.
Do not Poach, Snipe, or Pressure.
- Show courtesy to others.
Can I buy a Minoan for a friend?
- Yes. Make sure it is notated when it is being purchased. We will not get in between a personal dispute, and a Minoan will always be primarily transferred to whoever paid unless otherwise discussed prior to purchase.
Any promises made before a Minoan's sale will not be upheld by admins.
- Do not sell Minoans with promised breedings, paid breedings, etc. Admins will not force the new owner to uphold any prior agreements.
Do Minoans have to be sold for USD?
- Official sources will almost always be for USD. Between players, that can be discussed. Game currencies, gift cards, etc are not our business but as long as both parties are consenting, the trade may be completed.
Transfer logs must be filled out in any transaction to account for total worth.
- State if it was a gift, sale, etc. and what the price of sale was.
Whatever the last sale price of a Minoan was, is it's new value.
- Minoans that are given as gifts have a value of $0 until new art is added. If the Minoan is given back to the gifter, the Minoan's value will revert to the price it held prior to gifting.
- Example: Initial Value is $120. Sold for $90. Value is $90 until art is added to bring it back to $120.
