Maa'laat'in
The Mother Goddess
Maa'laat'in is the Matriarch of the Minoan Pantheon. After her husband, El'ii'nim, was murdered by her eldest son, she elected not to remarry, although not for lack of suitors. Her family is the most important thing in her life, and she desperately wishes to become one again.
-
In the beginning, all people were ruled under Maa'laat'in, the Mother God of the Earth, and El'ii'nim, The Father God of the Sea.
-
Upon Maa'laat giving birth to their children, the world was created.
-
She gave birth to the ancestors of all people and to all of the gods who came after.
-
After the fall of El'iinos in the Great War, she and her brother-in-law moved to the Ragos Jungles and renamed the location for Baal'mot, Baalkithi.
-
It is very common for Maa'laat to be worshipped by expectant mothers.
-
Pink paint and special symbols work as a mercy shield in wartime. Pregnant women will be overlooked and granted refuge in all cases.
-
She loves all of her children, even though some are a little harder to love than the others.
-
Maa'laat'in is one of the few Gods worshipped in every tribe, as no Minoan God outwardly hates the Mother.
